DETAILS

An unusually delicate Art Deco ring, dating to circa the 1920s, with an open circular centre framed by alternating sections of blue sapphires and rose-cut diamonds.

The transparent blue sapphires form a finely arranged channel around the circle, while the rose-cut diamonds introduce soft flashes of light. Fine milgrain borders trace the inner and outer edges, lending definition to the small, carefully worked setting.

The ring is crafted in solid 18k yellow gold. A very thin layer of white gold is confined to the area around the gemstones, creating a subtle contrast with the warm yellow gold body. Gently shaped shoulders lead into a slender band, completing its light, refined silhouette.

At just 1.4 grams, this is a particularly fine and delicate piece, with an airy design that allows the skin to show through its open centre.

Presented in very good condition. The ring has been polished and ultrasonically cleaned, and the gemstones have been checked.

A couple of sapphires were replaced at some point with stones of a slightly different cut. This subtle difference is apparent only under a jeweller’s loupe and is not noticeable during normal wear.
